The Life of Peter Demanchyk
Peter Demanchyk, 89, of Prospect, formerly of Ansonia, died May 20, 2008 in Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara Zubyk Demanchyk for 52 years. He was born Oct. 18, 1918 in Ansonia, son of the late Theodore and Anna Katz Demanchyk. He worked as a production supervisor for the Farrel Corp. for 45 years,until his retirement in 1983. He was a US. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW. Besides his wife, survivors include a daughter, Joan Barbara Kelly and her husband Timothy of Prospect; sisters Helen Bazuk of Mass. Ann Mellish, Lillian Zakaluk and Ruth Job all of Florida; granddaughters, April Deller and her husband Jordan of Naugatuck and Ashley Kalaus and her fiance Brian Mariano of Naugatuck; and great-granddaughters Haley abnd Aubrey Deller of Naugatuck. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, Ansonia handled the arrangements. Burial was
