The Life of Joseph Zajac

Joseph Zajac, 89, formerly of Mertztown, died peacefully, Friday, January 15, 2021, in the Henry Health Care Center on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton, Longswamp Township.  He was the widower of Edith L. (Haas) Zajac, who died November 5, 2015.  Born in Allentown, Joseph was a son the late Michael and Mary (Salvia) Zajac.  Joseph was a member of Zion's Union Church, Maxatawny.

Mr. Zajac was employed as a mechanic for Mack Truck, Macungie, for 36 years until his retirement in 1991.  He then worked as a School Bus Driver for Parkland School District for 17 years.

Joseph is survived by his two sons:  Mitchell J., widower of Virginia M. (Crouthamel) Zajac, Mertztown; and William M. Zajac, Kuwait; and a grandson, Brian M. Zajac, Allentown.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service and interment to celebrate Joseph's life on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in Zion Maxatawny Union Cemetery, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, with his pastor, The Reverend Jeffrey J. Butz, officiating.  There is no public viewing.
