The Life of Christine C. Georges

Christine C. Georges, 87, previously of Derby, peacefully entered into eternal rest Friday morning September 26, 2008 at the Gardner Heights Health Care in Shelton. Miss Georges was born in Ansonia, September 24, 1921, daughter of the late Constantine and Aglaia Puloras Georges. She lived her formative years in Ansonia before moving to Derby. She was employed as a foreign language teacher at the Kennedy High School in Waterbury for many years and was a devoted member of the St. Barbara's Green Orthodox Church in Orange. She is survived by two nephews, Vincent Pertoso and James Pertoso of Seymour; a niece Katherine Johnson of Oxford; and many great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Demetra Pertoso and Katherine Georges. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday September 30th at the St. Barbara's Greek Orthodox Church in Orange. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery Ansonia. The Spinelli-malerba-Ricciuti Funeral Home in Ansonia is entrusted with the arrangements.
