The Life of Harold A. Hickman

Harold Hickman, age 84, husband of the late Bernardine Hichman, of Ocala, FL and formerly of Ansonia, died Monday January 16, 2007.  He was born January 23 1922 in Derby, son of the late Herbert and Mae Haselwood Hickman.  He served in the Paifi in the Army Air Corp during World War II.  He worked in the erecting shop for Farrel Co. for more than 40 years and was a member of the Farrel Old Timer's Club.  He was a member of The Eagle Hose Fire Co #6 of Ansonia, where he also served as chief driver and as captain three times.  He was also a member of The George Washington Msonic Lodge #82.  He is survived by his son Gerald Hickman and his wife Jean of Southbury, his daughter Dale McBride and her husband Carl of San Roman, CA; five grandchildren, Chris and Tim McBride of California and Phillip, Alysha and Nicolas Hickman of Southbury as well as several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 27 at 10 a.m. from The Corneerstone Assembly of God Church in Oxford.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.  Friends may call on Friday January 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Jenkins-King Funeral Home, 12 Franklin Street, Ansonia.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Harold's name may be made to The Shriners Childrens' Hospital, 51 Blossom St. Boston, MA 02114.
