The Life of Anne Ayoub Custance
Anne Ayoub Custance, 83, of Shelton, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was the devoted wife of the late Ronald Custance. Anne was born in Utica, NY on December 17, 1925, daughter of the late Abraham and Mary Ferris Ayoub, and lived in ANsonia and Shelton for most of her life. She worked as a bookkeeper at the Farrel Corp. in Ansonia for 36 years until retiring in 1988. Her family also owned the former Klanko's Market in Ansonia. She was a longtime member of St. Nicholas Church in Bridgeport. She will be sadly missed by a sister, Nelly Jacobs of Utica, NY, a sister-in-law Helen Ayoub, also of Utica; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Fred, Joseph and Toffey (Ted) Ayoub; two sisters, Rose Haddad and Zifa Ficarra; two sisters-in-law, Fannie and Martha Ayoub; and two brothers-in-law, Louis Haddad and Anthony Ficarra. Funeral serice will be held aat St. Nicholas Church, Bridgeport. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. The Riverview Funeral Home in SHelton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
