The Life of Robert E. Sr. Davies
Robert E. Davies Sr. 67, of Ansonia, died March 5, 2010 at Stamford Hospital. Son of the late Kenneth and June Buswell Davies, he was born Dec. 27, 1942 in Derby. Mr. Davies currently was a marshall for the City of Ansonia; and was formerly owner and operator of CT White Truck Co. of West Haven; general manager of the former Attwood Buick of New Haven and a retired Derby auxiliary policeman. He was president of the Ansonia Rod & Gun Club; a former member of Racebrook Country Club; member of the Derby Civil Defense; the Storm Engine Co. of Derby; the Buick Club of America (Yankee Chapter); a member of the King Hiram Masonic Lodge #12 of Shelton and a member of the Ansonia Republican Town Committee. He is survived by his son, Robert E. Davies, Jr. of Norwalk; daughter Cheryl Cook and her husband Wes of Montrose, Colo.; two brothers Kenneth Davies of Oxford and Arthur Davies of West Haven; grandson, Robert M. Davies of Norwalk and four nephews and one niece. Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home handled arrangements. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
