The Life of Willis Greene

Willis H. "Bubba" Greene, 79 a lifelong Ansonia resident, and founder and director of Ansonia's KO Boy's Club died June 28, 2008 at Griffin Hospital. Son of the late Charles L. Greene and Lillian Andeerson Greene, he was born Dec. 6, 1928 in Ansonia. He worked as a printer for 35 years for the Evening Sentinel and 22 years with Ever Ready Press in Ansonia. He graduated from Ansonia High School in 1946 and Howard University in Washington, D.C. He was a Korean War Army veteran. According to his family most important to him was the 55 years he served as the founder and director of the KO Club. Survivors include his nephew Rev. Gene Greene of Ansonia, his cousing Tommy Greene of Jefferson City, MO and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Charlie and Harold Greene and his sister Naomi Wallace. Services will be conducted from Ansonia High School. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Jenkins King Funeral Home Ansonia handled the arrangements
