The Life of Fred Kershaw

Fred Lee Kershaw, Jr., 78, husband of Lavina "Bing" Buswell Kershaw of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest Saturday February 14, 2009 at Griffin Hospital. He was born April 22, 1930 in Derby, son of the late Fred L. Kershaw Sr. and Freda DelVeccio Kershaw. Fred worked as a foreman for more than 50 years for Kerite Co. of Seymour. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Fred was a member of the Evangelical Baptist Church, member and past captain of Fountain Hose Fire Co. and the former George Washington Masonic Lodge, all of Ansonia. In addition to his wife, Fred leaves two sons, Fred E. Kershaw and wife Dianna of Seymour and Daniel T. Kershaw and wife Lisa of Ansonia; two brothers, Edward Kershaw of Kansas City, Missouri and Donald Kershaw of Naugatuck; two sisters, Elizabeth Hubyk of Seymour and Phyllis Puopolo of Shelton; as well as four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The Jenkins-King Funeral is entrusted with the arrangements. Burial with military honors will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia
