The Life of Evelyn Pearl Seccombe Johnson

ANSONIA - Evelyn Pearl Johnson, 94, of 45 North Westwood Road, died Tuesday in her home.  She was the wife of Emil Herbert Johnson.

Born in Shelton, March 31, 1897, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Jane Hill Seccombe.  She was a resident of Ansonia all he life except for 20 years when she lived in Orange.

She attended Ansonia schools and was a member of the First United Methodist Church as well as the United Methodist Women.

She was a member of the former Martha Washington Chapter Order of the Eastern Star for over 70 years. She was also a member of the Order of Amaranth and the Orange Garden Club.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two nieces; three nephews; and several grand nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Fernleigh C. Seccombe, Lionel H. Seccombe and Stewart F. Seccombe.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Jenkins-King Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St.

JOHNSON - Ansonia, May 7. Evelyn Pearl Johnson, 94, of 45 North Westwood Road, Ansonia, wife of Emil Herbert Johnson.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Jenkins-King Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St., Ansonia.  Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.  Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.  Memorial contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Ansonia or to the Shriners Children's Hospital through the funeral director.
