The Life of John Boryk

John Boryk, 62, of Seymour, entered into peaceful rest on Monday evening July 23, 2007 at Griffin Hospital in Derby following a long illness. John was born in Derby on September 15, 1944 son of the late John and Eva Stelma Boryk. A lifelong Valley resident, he had worked as a machine repairman at the former Textron-Lycoming in Stratford for 20 years until his retirement. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force having honorably served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 10 in Seymour, Catholic War Veterans in Derby, Ansonia Rod & Gun Club and St. Sebastian Men's Club in Ansonia. He is survived by a loving sister, Florence Kolendo of Ansonia, a special niece Katherine Kolendo of New York, N.Y. and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law William Kolendo. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service in Christ Episcopal Church, Ansonia. Burial with full military honors will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery Ansonia. The Spinelli-Malerba-Ricciuti Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
