The Life of Elsie Viola Hultin

Elsie Viola Spaulding Hultin, 93, died on Wednesday January 28, 2004 at Shelton Lakes after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of 52 years of the late Goesta Eskil Hultin. The daughter of the late Nathaniel Warren and Agnes Vinton Spaulding she was born on April 3, 1910 in Central Falls, R.I. and a resident of Ansonia over 70 years. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church Shelton where she sang in the choir for many years. She was a life member of Eliza A. Macoy Court #1 Order of the Amaranth, a member of Queen Esther Chapter #31, a life member of the Ansonia Garden Club, a member of the Derby Senior Center and a former member of its Glee Club. She leaves a daughter Martha H. Smart of Ansonia, two grandchildren Stacy A. Wiltshire and her husband David of Ansonia and Craig E. Smart and his wife Melissa of Seymour. and a great grandchild Kyle Wiltshire of Ansonia; a sister-in-law Virginia F. Spaulding of Newport News, VA, a niece Lynn Bean and her husband Roger of Newport News, VA a nephew N. Alan Spaulding and his wife Susan of Leroy, N.Y. and other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother N.Raymond Spaulding & son-in-law Edward C. Smart. Jenkins-King Funeral Home of Ansonia handled the arrangements. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
