The Life of Eskil Valentin Hultin

Eskil V. Hultin of 33 Nichols Street, Ansonia, husband of Mrs. Nellie Setterlund Hultin, died May 13, 1949 at his home. He had been under a doctor's care for some time. Mr. Hultin was born in Motala, Sweden, September 21, 1882, the son of Adolph and Helena Gran Hultin. He has lived in Ansonia for over 30 years making many friends during his residence here. Mr. Hultin was employed at the Farrel-Birmingham foundry as a machinist for about 28 years, retiring a year ago because of ill health. Mr. Hultin belonged to Prins Gustav Lodge, Order of Vasa; Naugatuck lodge, I.O.O.F; Internation Order of Good Templars, Local 3571 Steel Workers' Union of America C.I.O. and the Farrel-Birmingham Old Timers' club. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hultin is survived by one daughter Mabel Tomlinson (Percy) of Ansonia; three sons Goesta (Elsie)and Raymond (Jean) of Ansonia and Harry (Ingrid) of Shelton; one brother Valentine of Baltimore, MD; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Arvida Hokanson Hultin. The Leslie O. Jensen Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
