The Life of Helen Hudak Bobrowsky

Helen Bobrowsky, 86, of Seymour entered into rest Friday November 21, 2008 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was the devoted wife of the late Victor Bobrowsky. Helen was born in Shelton, July 9, 1922, daughter of the late Harry and Christine Comcowich Hudak and she was raised in Shelton. She lived in Seyour for more than 50 years. Helen retired from Branson Instruments in 1984 with more than 15 years of service. She had previously worked for Woolworth's. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Good Shepheerd in Seymour and volunteered her time there. She was also a member of the CWV Ladies Guild, and the Seymour Senior Center. Helen was a five year survivor of breast cancer and was above all a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the beloved mother of Sandra Bomba and her husband Eugene and Shirley Brushitis and her husband John Brushitis Sr. She is also survived by a sister, Esther Saffo; three loving grandchldren, Sherry Wilson, Vickie M. Bomba-Lewandoski and John M. Brushitis, Jr; four cherished great-grandchildren, John J. and Jashua Wilson and Tyler and Cassandra Bomba-Lewandoski; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Paul, William, Steven and Andrew Hudak and three sisters, Mary Bobrowsky, Julia Hermer and Ann Frankel-Rogers. Her funeral will be at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Seymour on Tuesday. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. The Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home Derby is entrusted with the arrangements.
