The Life of GARY ALLEN BENNETT

Gary A. Bennett, 60, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2020, at University Park Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born in Des Moines on September 29, 1960, to Clayton and Peggy (Dudley) Bennett.

Gary worked as a commercial pressman. He enjoyed racing speedway midgets, fishing, traveling for dog shows to show his Borzoi. He was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Casey (Steve) Hexamer; son, Ramsey (Amanda) Bennett; grandchildren, Caitlin, Cale, Carter, Christian, Oliver, Mari and one on the way; the love of his life, Becky Bennett; sisters, Anna Arndt, Sherry Bennett and Wendy Bennett; brother, Randy Bennett; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other loving family and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Peggy.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
