The Life of Diane Stevens
Private Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at 10:30 AM at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum in Lafayette, LA, for Diane Stevens, 76, who died on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Deacon Cody Miller of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Milton, LA, will conduct the graveside services.
Survivors include her companion, Walt McDaniel; two daughters, Tammy DeBona and her husband David and Dawn Berry and her husband Keeth; four grandchildren, Samantha Belgard, Bailey DeBona, Victoria Berry and Austin Berry; one great grandson, Wyatt Belgard; two sisters, Judy Daly and her husband Jerry and Madeline Brune and her husband David; and two brothers, Ronnie Foret and his wife Rennee and Bobby Foret and his companion Linda Plaisance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph N. Foret, Jr. and Lillian Legendre Foret.
A resident of Youngsville, Louisiana, Diane was a dear and loving friend to Walt as well as a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to all. She was very outgoing and enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening, fishing and playing golf, with a very competitive spirit in all aspects of life. She's even been rumored to play a slot or two. After raising five children, Diane went back to school to obtain her Registered Nurse Degree. She worked in numerous hospitals and developed a passion for travel nursing. Diane was very creative and on numerous occasions she donated her handcrafted items to various charitable organizations.
