The Life of Donna Cole
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 11:00 AM in Martin & Castille's La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette for Donna Danjean Cole, age 72, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at her residence in Lafayette surrounded by her family.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Reverend Ray Swift, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church in Lafayette, will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Gerald Cole; her children, Jeffrey Cole and his wife, Leanne and Christi Lee Emfinger and her husband, Glenn; six grandchildren, Taylor, Brandon and Grant Emfinger, and Emma, Will and Sam Cole; and one brother, John Danjean.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Jerome Danjean, Jr. and Elsie Lee Talcott Danjean.
Donna Danjean Cole was born in Franklin, Louisiana to Sidney and Elsie Lee Danjean. Donna worked as a Medical transcriptionist for many years. She loved playing piano, singing and Bible study, was a choir member at Asbury United Methodist Church and also an organist for Grace Presbyterian Church in Franklin. Mrs. Cole enjoyed gardening, traveling with her family, and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she cherished. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pallbearers will be Taylor, Brandon and Grant Emfinger, Will and Sam Cole and Glenn Emfinger.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE location on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 9:00 AM until time of services.
Memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Cole's name to St. Jude's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the Cole family to the nurses, staff and doctors of Bridgeway Hospice for their kindness and compassion given to Mrs. Cole and her family during their time of need.
