The Life of Mr. Irvin E. Yoder Jr.

Irvin E. “Peepers” Yoder, Jr., 68 of Luther Meadows, Topton, died Saturday, August 9, 2020 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in Allentown, Irvin was the son of the late Irvin E., Sr., and Helen M. (Derr) Yoder.

He was a graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, New Tripoli, and later worked as a welder at the former General Seating and Sash, Topton, for several years. Irvin was a member of East Penn Sporting Club and enjoyed watching stock car racing on TV, wresting, playing bingo, going to the casinos, parades, Disney World and amusement parks, cross-word puzzles, playing pool with his brothers, watching movies, bowling. He was also a die-hard Elvis fan and loved his music.

Irvin is survived by his children, Brenda L. Yoder, Kutztown, Christopher M. Yoder, Mount Jewett, Stephanie Ann Yoder, Allentown, Dean Reinhart, Hamburg and Steven Yoder; six grandchildren, Shakira Yoder, Konrad Yoder, Ashley Smith, Anthony Smith, Brayden Reinhart and Ellyanna Reinhart. He is also survived by his siblings, Joann M. (Yoder) Richards, companion of John Goldschneider, Jean A. (Yoder), wife of John Wiggins, Carol A. (Yoder), wife of William Millikin and David A Yoder.

In addition to his parents, Irvin was predeceased by his son, Richard Yoder, and siblings, Michael A. Yoder, Linda D. (Yoder) Weatherwalk and Stanley I. Yoder.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday evening, August 13, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA. Current pandemic guidelines will be enforced, and masks will be required.

Graveside services and burial in Longswamp Union Cemetery, Mertztown, PA will be held privately.
