The Life of JERRY LEE JACKSON JR.

Jerry L. Jackson, Jr., age 57, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.

Jerry was born May 5, 1963 in Des Moines, Iowa. He enjoyed playing board games with his nieces and nephews. Jerry was a fan of WWE and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

He is survived by his sister, Margo Miltenberger (James) and their children, Donald Moss and Amber Moss; sister, Monica Jackson and her children, Jennifer Robertson (Ron), Heather Jackson (Justin), and Jacob Jackson; and brother, Randy Jackson (Valerie) and their daughers, Jenna Rowe (Doug), Linsay Jackson (Charles), Jamie Thomas (Ethan), and Joslyn Jackson. Jerry is also survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, and other extended family members.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry L. Jackson, Sr. and Gloria Rhea Cleghorn Jackson; as well as numerous aunts and uncles.

There will be a graveside service Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue, Des Moines, with visitation and viewing for an hour prior from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Jerry.
