The Life of RUSSELL DEAN WRIGHT

Russell Dean Wright, Jr., 74, Pleasant Hill, Iowa, died Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Taylor House in Des Moines, Iowa. Russ was born July 23, 1946 in Long Beach, California to Russell & Doris Jeanette (Keller) Wright.

‘Russ’ to his family, and ‘Rusty’ growing up, was raised in Stuart, Iowa and graduated high school there. Russ would attend Northwestern State University, Marysville, Missouri and later Drake University in Des Moines.

Early in his working career Russ was part owner of Iowa Cash Register. He transitioned to Remax as a realtor for over 20 years after that. St. Theresa School had him as a bus driver prior to his retirement. His hobby was his grandchildren and traveling with wife, Phyllis.

Survivors include his soulmate of over 39 years, Phyllis Jean (Koon) Wright, children, Christine, Earl, Deb, Mark, and Bill, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sisters, Teri Glass, and Debbie Martini, other relatives and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
