Frederick Henry Voskuhl Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frederick Henry Voskuhl (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), who passed away on July 23, 2020, at the age of 97.

He was predeceased by his wife Lola F. Voskuhl; his parents, Julia Zember Voskuhl and Fredrick Henry Voskuhl Sr. and his sibling Dorothia Lorenzo (John). He is survived by his brother John Voskuhl (Claudia). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 27th 2020 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home (5300 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15224). A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 28th 2020 at 10:00 AM at the St. Maria Goretti Parish.

Last Surviving Crew Member of USS Tunny (SS-282)

Fred Voskuhl was the USS Tunny's last WW II survivor who served on the submarine making the last five of its nine patrols during WWII.
