Susan Louise Brown, 74, of Shadyside, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020. Sue was born on November 19, 1945, in Pittsburgh, PA to William S. II and Elizabeth M. Brown. Sue had one brother, William S. III, who preceded her in death in 2014. Sue is survived by her sister-in-law, Connie A.; her nephews, William (Rick) S. IV (Beth), Gregg A. (Liz); her niece Heather D.; great-nephews W. Scott (Susan), Joshua A., Christopher M.; great-nieces Ashley D. (Ryan Birtwell), Kara E. (Chris Davis); and 6 great-great-nieces and nephews. Sue leaves behind her cat, Cuba, who found Sue several years ago. Sue graduated from Carnegie Mellon University and went on to a long career in the law department at United States Steel. After retiring, Sue volunteered at the Children's Institute of Pittsburgh. Sue enjoyed spending quality time with her many close friends. She also enjoyed playing golf and tennis, going to outdoor concerts at Frick and Mellon Park, and riding her bike. She is remembered for being a good friend and loving aunt. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. We will be planning a celebration in memory of Sue at a later date. Arrangements are by McCabe Brothers Funeral Home.
