The Life of Bonnie Yorke

Age 79, of Upper St. Clair, PA on Thursday, May 21 2020, Bonnie Yorke passed away peacefully. Bonnie is survived by her five children, Edie Yorke, Geri (Gerald) Shapiro, Nikki (Chris) Yorke-Chu, Stanley (Nancy) Yorke, Francie (Ronald) Yarwood; ten grandchildren, Aubrey (Andrew) Ginn, Amanda (Colin) Whitaker, Sadie Kalathunkal, Aaron Shapiro, Noah Kalathunkal, RJ Yarwood, Nathan Yorke, Ian Yarwood, Carys Yarwood, Samuel Yorke; and great-grandsons Gavin Ginn and Luka Ginn. Bonnie is also survived by her sister Joyce Tibaldi and Gale Trekelbach, predeceased Linda Dorsey. Bonnie was born to Margaret and Hyman Weltman in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Mt. Saini Hospital School of Nursing with a gold pin for the highest average in the school. She continued to excel in the work force leading to her being a Director of Nursing. Her excellence in nursing is not surprising due to her unwavering hard work and unsurpassed nurturing spirit. Bonnie's life was full of adventure including traveling to all 50 states and over 50 countries. Throughout her travels she jumped out of a plane, rode on a donkey up a volcano, tasted exotic meals and more. When she wasn't on a wild adventure you could find her covered in dirt from head to toe in her garden, experimenting with recipes in the kitchen or whipping your butt in gin-rummy. Bonnie will be sorely missed by all and most deeply by her extended family, but we can take solace in knowing that she is back with the love of her life, William Yorke (deceased).
