The Life of Mary Cataldo

Mary Cataldo was born on February 18, 1920. She grew up with her parents, Anthony (Trapanotto) Marquise and Rose (Recsigno), and her brothers Albert, Rudolph (Ruth), and Richard (Betty) in New York City. After marrying her beloved Salvatore Thomas Cataldo, she moved to New Jersey where she raised her devoted children, Gloria (Sharon) and Robert (Arnaldo). She was blessed with two loving granddaughters, Pamela and Melissa (Sid), and two adorable grandchildren, Anjali and Indy. Mary was a health food enthusiast, as well as a design and fashion aficionado. She prided herself on her elegant appearance and her beautiful home. She passed her love of real estate down to her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. In her later years, she branched out and started trying new things like drinking Coca-Cola and wearing pants. Mary loved ice cream, family get-togethers, and animals. She also loved spending time with her grand-dogs, Idgie (RIP) and more recently, Junie. In lieu of flowers, please celebrate Mary's Italian heritage and love of food with a donation to the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank.
