Aundrea Mechelle (Bryant) Gray was born March 16, 1966 to Odies and Jacqueline Bryant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She departed life on March 27, 2020 at 6:38 a.m. at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center East. She was 54.
Aundrea was a graduate of Allderdice High School. Following graduation, she relocated to Germany with her former husband and high school sweetheart, Phillip Gray. While stationed at the military base Aundrea gave birth to their first child Jacqueline Corrine (Gray) Coleman.
When Aundrea moved back to Pittsburgh, she worked as a legal secretary and later became a Licensed Practical Nurse. After parting ways with Phillip, Aundrea began taking classes at the Community College of Allegheny County where she met Jeffery Orlando Jordan in Medical Terminology class. Jeffery became the father of her youngest two children, Jaylen Odies Jordan and Jade Marie Jordan.
She continued working countless hours, dedicating her life to her children and working to care for seniors, veterans and people with disabilities as an LPN. As her health began to deteriorate, Aundrea was determined to spend as much quality time with her family as possible, especially during holidays and birthday celebrations. Most of all, she enjoyed watching after her granddaughter, Jayla Mechelle Jean Coleman, as the two binged hours of Gunsmoke and the ID Channel.
Although she faced several health challenges, Aundrea never stopped supporting her three children who give her all the credit for their academic, athletic and overall life accomplishments.
Aundrea was a lively spirit and recently celebrated her 54th birthday surrounded by her children, grandchild, sister, nieces and nephews and enjoying her favorite meal, the Ultimate Feast from Red Lobster.
Aundrea was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline Bryant; and two sisters, Alicia Christine Bryant and Beatrice Bryant.
Aundrea is survived by her three children: Jacqueline Corrine Coleman (Anthony), Jaylen Odies Jordan, Jade Marie Jordan; granddaughter: Jayla Mechelle Jean Coleman; sisters: Edna Ramona Fisher, Margaret J. Bentley, Jacki Bryant, Linda S. Bryant, Mary L. Smith; and brothers: Thomas L. Terry, Mark Keith Terry, Gerald Allen Bryant, Odies Bryant Jr., Bruce Bryant; and a host of nieces and nephews.
