The Life of Ralph Louis Vitale

R alph L. Vitale, Jr, 81, passed away on March 11, 2020 at Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Born in Washington, D.C. on April 6, 1938, he was the son of Valph Louis Vitale, Sr. and Annette Gloria Valente. He graduated from St. John’s University High School and the University of Maryland with a B.A. in business administration. He worked as a Budget Analyst for the U.S. Department of Treasury until retirement. He was a world traveler, a numismatist, and author of “Searchlight Nevada”, NPI, 1994. He is survived by Wendy L. Billett (life partner), Arlington, VA; Donald J. Vitale (brother), Colesville, MD; Linda Rasmussen (cousin), Millerville, MD; James Dougherty (cousin), Bronxville, NY; Diane Morris (cousin), Staten Island, NY; nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held for the family on March 23, 2020 at the Basilica of Saint Mary, in Alexandria, VA. He will be buried at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Alexandria, VA. Plans for the graveside service will be announced
