The Life of CORTRELL Q. THOMAS

Cortrell Thomas July 09, 1950 - February 15, 2020

Trell, as he was lovingly called, was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Delmar Thomas and Callie Edmonds, on July 9, 1950.  On Saturday, February 15, 2020. Cortrell was called by the almighty God to his eternal resting place, after battling Cancer. Trell graduated from Westinghouse Highschool with the “Aggressive Class of 68”.  He worked at Heinz Plant for many years.  He retired from Marceglia U.S.A. in 2015, where he was a Pipe Inspector.  After becoming bored with the retirement life, he began working part-time. Cortrell was always on the go and brought smiles everywhere he would go. Preceding him in death were siblings Delmar Thomas Jr. and Andre Thomas.  Sadly missing his presence while cherishing his memory are:  his wife Dianna of 42 years, his children Patrick Lawson, Tina Larkin, Michael Wright, Sheena Spells-Nolan (Marvin Nolan), and Scherrita Thomas.  Siblings Juan Thomas, William Edmonds, Tawnya Thomas, and Katrina Williams. Fourteen Grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cortrell was one of many words; and filled with generosity. His smile would light up every room he entered. He will truly be missed and never forgotten.
