The Life of JUNE DARLENE DAVIS

June Darlene Davis, 87, of Ankeny, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Taylor House in Des Moines, Iowa. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care in Polk City, Iowa from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Her funeral service will immediately follow the visitation and begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Garden Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa.

June was born on April 19, 1932 in Greenfield, Iowa to Charles and Alice (Jensen) Crabtree. She grew up outside Polk City and then moved to Madrid. In 1949 she married Roger Davis and to this union three daughters were born. They moved to Saylorville Township where they raised their kids together. June worked some various side jobs while her girls were young but raising them was her priority. After they graduated June began working for the State of Iowa. In 1997, after 26 years of working for Iowa she retired. June loved to travel, plant flowers in her garden, baking, reading, Iowa history, western movies, and Hallmark movies.

Those left to cherish her loving memories are her daughter Alesia Davis; grandchildren Sharina Brangers, Victoria Caldwell, Tony (Lacey) Ortiz, Randy Wilson, Tiffany Ortiz, and Dallas Hoffman; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Charlene (Carol) Michael; 1 nephew; 3 nieces; and son-in-law Dan Hoffman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roger; daughters April Estes, and Melody Hoffman; and brother Bruce Crabtree.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
