The Life of SANDRA LAMB

Sandra Sue Gray Lamb, wife of 38 years of Alvernus “Al” Lamb, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on January 10, 2020

Sandra Lamb retired from Duquesne school district after 32 years of service. “Sandi” dedicated her life to being a special educator and an advocate for the African American community. After retirement, she relocated to Delaware where she owned and operated a daycare center in Wilmington, The Learning Tree.

Sandra is survived by loving daughter, Dr. Erinn E. Chioma; stepsons, Alvernus Lamb (Erin) and Jason Lamb (Letese); grandchildren, Ase Chioma, Nathaniel Lamb, Sydney Lamb and Shannon Lamb; beloved sister, Virginia Eldridge; brother-in-law, Chester Gist (Geraldine); nieces, Denise Eldridge, Beth Jamison (Keith) and Carla Gist; nephews, Fred Eldridge (Tamani), George Stevenson (Terri), Eric Stevenson, Darrin Stevenson, Chester Gist Jr. and Alphonso Gist; several great-nieces and great-nephews and a host of great -great nieces and nephews; best friend, of Wassetta Moses and her husband Roger; and godson, Christian Morgan.

Sandra was predeceased by her parents Susie Jane Coleman Gray and Samuel L. Gray; sister, Christina Dolby, niece Cheryl Dolby and great nephew William Dolby.
