George P Klinedinst Jr., died on Wednesday January 8th, 2020 at his residence. He was the husband of 50 years to Clare A. (Maxwell) Klinedinst. George was born on October 17, 1940, son of the late George P. Klinedinst Sr. and June Marie (Grove) Klinedinst. George was a graduating member of the William Penn Senior High School class of 1958. He entered the United States Navy in 1958 and proudly served his country until 1964. He attended Penn State University and worked in banking and finance until 1967 when he and his Uncle, John M. Grove, co-founded John M. Grove's Sporting Goods. George was a member of the Shiloh American Legion Post and the Viking Athletic Association. In addition to his wife, George is also survived by a son, Keith Klinedinst and wife Laura. A grandson Vincint and a granddaughter Allison. All of York. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Klinedinst. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SpiriTrust Lutheran Hospice, (2700 Luther Dr, Chambersburg, Pa 17202), Cancer Care Associates of York, (25 Monument Rd #294, York, Pa 17403) or a youth sports organization of your choice. Burial is private.
