The Life of Betty Ann LaBauve

DOWNTOWN - Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at 1:00 PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette, for Betty Ann T. LaBauve, 69, who passed away Saturday evening, November 23, 2019 at Lafayette General Medical Center with her loving family at her side.

Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

Deacon Cody Miller will conduct the funeral services.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location on Monday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be prayed Monday evening at 6:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 51 years, Willis LaBauve, Jr.; her son, Felix LaBauve and wife, Danielle, and step-daughter, Tracie Mayes and husband, James; grandchildren, Christopher LaBauve, Sr. and wife, Elizabeth, Brittany Fetterman and husband, Cruz, Sr., Shayla LaBauve and fiancee, Brianna La'Fleur; great-grandchildren, Krislynn LaBauve, Tiffany Street, Kaye'lynn LaBauve, Christopher LaBauve, Jr., Chloe LaBauve, Cruz Fetterman, Jr., and Chardonnay LaBauve; siblings, Shirley Duhon, Millie Saldana, Joyce Schexnayder, Clara Guidry, Lora Farag, Ruby Zakzook, Roy Guidry, Jr. and Randy Guidry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes Short Thibodeaux and Felix Thibodeaux, Sr.; her brother, Felix Thibodeaux, Jr.; her great grandson, Christian LaBauve.

Betty Ann T. LaBauve was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to everyone she met. She loved spending time outside, tending to her garden and cutting her grass. She loved roosters and has rooster decor all over her home. Betty had a wonderful sense of humor, the biggest smile, and a heart of gold. She could brighten anyone's day. Betty loved her family above anything else, especially her dog, Angel who was her companion in life and her best friend. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she cherished waking up early on Christmas morning with her husband and preparing a feast for her whole family. She was the matriarch of the family, her memory will be held dear by all who were blessed to know her.

Pallbearers will be Felix LaBauve, Christopher LaBauve, Sr., Justin Tarbet, Brianna La'Fleur, Gerry Racca, and Cruz Fetterman, Sr.

A heartfelt appreciation is extended by the LaBauve family to doctors, nurses and staff of Lafayette General Medical Center.
