The Life of John Timberlake White

John Timberlake White, age 76, a long-time resident of Darby, PA passed away peacefully on July 10, 2019. Affectionately known to family as Dad, John, Pop-Pop and Great Pop-Pop. John was born to the late Francis M. and Margaret White (nee Timberlake). John grew up in Aldan, PA attending Friends Central High School, and Parsons College. John served his country in the US ARMY, allowing him to travel throughout Europe. After 30 years at Wilson Safe Company, he left to care for his wife, Cecilia in her final years.

He is survived by his children, Cecile Phillips (Barry) of Morton, Therese White (Kevin) of Harper’s Ferry, WV, and Nicole Ippolito (Richard) of Leesburg, VA. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. John is also survived by 4 sisters, Margaret Kinloch (Bill), Katharine Heuck, Patricia Skean (Bruce) and Susan Pasker and a slew of loving nieces and nephews.

John’s first love was Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, he loved Eagles football and was also an avid music lover. The last 6 months home was Little Flower Manor Nursing Home where he made many friends. The family wishes to thank everyone at Little Flower Manor and Crossroads Hospice for their wonderful, loving care and support.

Friends and family are invited to John's funeral on Monday, July 15th, 11:00 a.m. at the Williamsburg Chapel at Arlington Cemetery. 2900 State Rd., Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Visitation from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery.
