The Life of MICHAEL KOWALSKI
Michael J. Kowalski Michael J. Kowalski, 73, of Leesport, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his life long companion Rebecca Phillips who passed away in 2013. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Clara J. (Kazmierczak) Kowalski. Mike graduated from Reading High School in 1965 and was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Veterans Chapter 131, and Thursday morning men’s bowling league. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Air Force in 2006 after 30 years of service. He also served in the United States Navy, and was employed at Willow Grove Air Force Base for 25 years until his retirement in 2007. Mike is survived by his brother John Kowalski, two nieces; Diane wife of Gary Deyarmin, and Dr. Wendy Kowalski wife of Jack Kofroth; one nephew John wife of Tracy Kowalski, and 12 great nieces and nephews. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Mt.
