The Life of Mrs. Victoria H. Hobbs

Victoria H. Hobbs age 72 of Beacon Falls, formerly of Fairfield, beloved wife of 53 years of Thomas S. Hobbs, Jr. passed away peacefully at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford on Thursday August 31, 2017. Born in Orlando, FL, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Helene Henderson, and had been a Fairfield resident for 46 years. Vicki was a loving and devoted wife, mother and homemaker who loved to cook and knew her way around the kitchen. Professionally Vicki was a caring and devoted nurse. She worked primarily in pediatrics and loved working with babies and children and assisting parents in understanding their roles in child rearing. Vicki had a tremendous gift of developing friends throughout her life. She always greeted everyone one with a bright smile. Her warm spirit, friendly disposition and sense of humor were contagious, and she always was willing to help others. Her main focus in life was family and she relished her role as wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors in addition to her beloved husband Thomas include three loving sons, Peter S. Hobbs of Fairfield, Frederick M. Hobbs of Fairfield and Brian M. Hobbs and his wife Laura of Trumbull; five cherished grandchildren, Beatrice Piper, Anna Grace, Matthew Nicholas, Tyler Quinn and Addison Taylor Hobbs; a devoted sister, Nancy Henry and her husband Ronald J. Henry, Jr. of Fairfield and two nephews, J.J. Henry of Fort Worth, TX and Kevin Henry of Florida, as well as four great nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday September 6 2017 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 661 Old Post Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private.
