The Life of Ruby Erb Miller

Ruby E. Miller, 88, entered into rest at 5:35 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. She was the wife of the late David E. Miller. They were married 43 years.

Born January 12, 1931 in Monaghan Township, she was a daughter of the late Reuben Erb and Grace E. (Danner) Hoffman, and step-daughter of the late John Adam Hoffman.

Ruby was a graduate of West York High School. She was a devoted mother and homemaker who previously worked as a secretary for G.E. and the Draft Board of the Naval Ordinance.

Ruby enjoyed going to yard sales and having visitors. She had a special appreciation for babies and animals and loved chocolate.

Ruby is survived by four children, Todd D. Miller and wife, Brenda of Dover, Lori S. Gates and husband, Curtis of Camp Hill, Glenn E. Miller and companion, Sharon Vincent and Kathy D. Cook and husband, Steve, all of Dover; nine grandchildren, Scott, Tasha, Brett, Amber, Kara, Jaclyn, Kristin, Kyle and Ryan; eleven great grandchildren; and three half-brothers.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a time to celebrate Ruby's life from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
