Thanks, Pop

You always made me feel like I was special to you and loved by you. Thank you for being my grandfather and someone I could always count on for a hug and smile. When I got divorced, you told me you wish you were 50 years younger so you could marry me...and that my ex was an idiot. Thanks, Pop!

Rosemary's

So many wonderful happy memories of my Dad.  I always remeber my Dad being plesant and kind.  So proud of his military service in the Marine Corps and the many contributions of his hand sculpted gifts to the Toys for Tots program.  Your memory will be etched in our hearts forever.  Missing you, but find contentment knowing you are at peace. xoxo

Missing you

We will miss you Pop. You filled a void in our life and gave us all your time.   You were there for our Mom as well, as for our children. You were always present for their games, birthday parties,  recitals, plays, scouts,  and on and on. You made us numerous wood carvings, wooden spoons, cake tester, recipe holders, bird houses, and my favorite, the white swan you made me as well as the little foot stool in the shape of a violin. Everywhere I look in our home will always be reminders of you.  You were dating my Mom when you gave me your meatloaf recipe, which I still make today.   You loved puzzles, crossword puzzles,  suduko, reading, carving and woodwork. Your love of making toys for my favorite organization, Toys for Tots.   You were proud to be a Marine. You wore your hat and shirts with pride.  You always were quiet but when you spoke,  it was plain and simple but always the truth.  We will miss you.

DAD

My Dad was a good provider for his family, I remember looking forward to  him coming home for dinner every night after work, breifcase in hand always wearing his fedora with the red feather. Dad wanted us to have God in our lives, I remember walking to church on Sundays with him and my brother John, not because we didnt have a car but because it was close enough to walk and it was good for us. I remember spending summers at the Jersey Shore at our grandparents house we went to Brigantine beach every weekend. Dad taught us how to body surf, to be patient and look for the perfect wave, he always caught the best waves that rode him right up onto the sand. We loved burying him in the sand and building sandcastles. Christmas was always special. He was up early with us half asleep ready to play with our new toys with us. He bought me my first bike a beautiful red 10 speed with a white leather seat, sadly it got stolen not long after i got it.  I was so upset. He went out and bought me another one! He was the kind of Dad, everyone would want. Im thankful and blessed for the many memories and for having him here on earth  in my life for so many years. Missing you Dad, Love you. I know your enjoying heaven and look forward to seeing you there.
