The Life of Loretta J. Montagner

Loretta J. (Lerch) Montagner, 86, formerly of Mertztown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, December 24, 2018 in Kutztown Manor, Inc., where she resided. She was the widow of Alduino Montagner, who died on May 1, 1997.  Born in Allentown, Loretta was a daughter of the late Robert W. and Viola E. (Bach) Lerch. Loretta was employed by Homemaker's Services of Allentown, General Electric, Allentown, and was a Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. She was an officer of the former Kutztown Senior Citizens group, and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Loretta enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, and decorating.

Loretta is survived by her four daughters, Brenda L. (Montagner), wife of Robert Koch, New Tripoli, Diane N. (Montagner), wife of Daryl K. Tollinche, Bethel, Renee (Montagner), wife of John Delong, Bernville, and Sharon M. (Montagner), wife of Jeffrey Reed, Kutztown; a son, Bruce A., husband of Victoria (Townsend) Montagner, Concord, CA; sister, Linda C. (Lerch), wife of Roger Braim, Bethlehem; 11 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Robert R. Lerch and Ronald W. Lerch.

A funeral service to celebrate Loretta's life  will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with the Reverend Stephen L. Winters officiating.  Interment will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood.  Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
