As the rabbi of a young rambunctios not-quite-ready-for-prime-time Pressel, I was blessed to have encountered the love, patience, and kindness personified in Karen Pressel, aleha hashalom. My wife and I used to joke that we might not see Adam at services on a given night, but his parents might be there.  Through all the ups and downs, through the good prognosis and then the remission, Karen was a constant source of strength and light - of hope and resilience.  I can hardly think of a time when there wasn't a smile on her face.  Proverbs teaches: "Her children rise up and they give her such happiness; her husband - he gives her such praises" (Prov. 31:28).  I can hardly think of a person to whom that aphorism more truly applies.  May her memory be a blessing.  I know it will.
