The Life of Gloria T. Kaminski

Gloria T. (nee DiFilippo) Kaminski, 93, of Springfield, PA, died December 3, 2018 at Vitas Hospice.

Born and raised in Clifton Heights, she had been a longtime resident of Springfield and faithful member of Holy Cross Parish. A graduate of Clifton Heights High School, class of ‘42, Gloria had been employed as an Office Manager in the finance industry having worked for William F. Adolph Accountants, Phoenix Collection Agency and Clifton Precision, before retiring in 1989.

Gloria was a wonderful cook specializing in both Italian and Polish cuisine and was known for her 30 or more kinds of Christmas Cookies, which she lovingly shared with family and friends for more than 50 years. Gloria never forgot a special day and marked each occasion with a card and sometimes a little gift.

A member of the Clifton Heights Seniors Club, she especially enjoyed their get-togethers and trips. She loved travelling to Italy and France and visiting Colorado as much as four times a year to see her grandchildren. Long runs or walks everyday, summers with family in Ocean City, and reading her favorite mysteries and historical novels were how she loved to spend her free time.

Gloria will best be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grand and great-grandmother, family always came first. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter B. who died in 2015;, Survivors: include her children Joan M. Kaminski, Susan M. Alter and Walter B. Kaminski, Jr.,  6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 Monday in Church of  St. Francis of Assisi, 136 Saxer Ave.; Springfield, 19064, followed by her Memorial Mass.

Inurnrment at the Monticello Mausoleum at: Arlington Cemetery will be private.

 Arrangements: Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington.
