The Life of Eldine Mary Navarre

A Memorial Mass will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 16, 2018 for Mrs. Eldine "Dean" Mary Navarre, 77, who passed away on November 9, 2018 at St. Joseph's Carpenter House.

Bishop Emeritus Michael Jarrell will conduct the funeral services.

Inurnment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.

Mrs. Navarre, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Aglious Dugas and Claudia Castille Dugas. "Dean" expressed her love by cooking for family and friends. She enjoyed visiting on the front porch with loved ones over coffee, family time at the beach, and tending to her flowers. "Momma was a playful and outspoken woman whose presence will be missed."

She is survived by her children, Carolyn Fontenot, Monica Ann Navarre, Heidi Ann Durio, Ronnie David Durio, Michael Wayne Navarre; grandchildren, Derrick Trey Rivoire, Nicholas, Natalie, and Jarred Fontenot, Heather Durio, Brett and Brandon Campbell; numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews; siblings, Sadie Ramagos and J.C. Dugas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Heywood Joseph Navarre; son, Stephen Lloyd Durio; grandson, Michael “Logan” Navarre; parents, Aglious and Claudia Dugas.

The family would like to thanks, with much gratitude, her daughter Heidi, son Ronnie, and Janelle Navarre for their care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Navarre's honor can be made to St. Joseph Carpenter House.

The family will have a gathering after the service to celebrate her life at 129 Milan Cir., Lafayette, LA, 70508.
