The Life of Stanley W. Steltz
Stanley W. Steltz, 80, of Longswamp Township, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 28, 2018 in his residence. He was the loving husband of Phyllis J. (Anderson) Steltz, whom he married on May 16, 1959. Born in Swamp, PA, Stanley was a son of the late Leroy Steltz and Viola E. (Weller) Brensinger. He honorably and faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force. Stanley was employed by Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., working as a Cryogenics Machinist at their Fogelsville plant for over 30 years, retiring in 1996. After his retirement, Stanley worked part-time at Solt's Sawmill, Mertztown and the Borough of Kutztown. He was a life-member of Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion, Topton, a beneficial member of Pike Township Sportsman's Association, Oley, a member of Mertztown Rod and Gun Club, and was very actively involved with the Mertztown Gun Club Fish Pond. Stanley was also a talented woodworker.
In addition to his wife of 59 years, Phyllis, Stanley is survived by his three children, Connie L. Steltz, Mertztown, Cindy M. (Steltz), wife of Keith R. Rauenzahn, Alburtis, Scott W., husband of Tammi S. (Bryant) Steltz, Fleetwood; four grandchildren, Tasha L. Humphrey, Mertztown, Ryan F. Rauenzahn, Alburtis, Trevor S. Steltz and Levi C. Steltz, both of Fleetwood; and two great-grandchildren, Viola Grace and June Lanai Humphrey. He is also survived by two sisters, Elaine (Steltz) Hamrick, Spring, TX, and Susie (Steltz) Tomkins, Alburtis; and a brother, Terry L. Brensinger, Alburtis. Stanley was predeceased by his parents, a sister, Gloria (Steltz) DeFrain, and a brother, Charles Brensinger.
At Stanley's request, there will be no services.
The family requests contributions be made in Stanley's memory to Mertztown Gun Club Fish Pond, 515 Centennial Road, Alburtis, PA 18011.
