The Life of Louise A Walters

Louise A. Walters, 80, of Cumbola, died Saturday peacefully at Lehigh Valley Hospital-17th Street, Allentown.

Louise was born in Auburn, Aug. 10, 1938, a daughter of the late Jessie Sr. and Mable Herring Dixon.

She was of the Protestant faith.

She retired from Spring Ford Knitting, Hamburg.

Louise was a member of Tri County Pot Belly Pig Club.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald Shive Sr., and a second husband, Lawrence Walters, and an infant daughter.

Louise is survived by a daughter, Susan Rodriguez, Pottsville; four sons, Gerald Shive Jr., Shamokin, Henry Shive, Tennessee, Keith Shive, Palm Harbor, Fla., David Walters, Orwigsburg; four sisters, Joanne Wiley, Carbondale, Betty Lou Congdon, Dickson City, Nancy Mosher, Hamburg, Myrtle MacPhillips, Yonkers N.Y.; two brothers, Jesse Dixon Jr., Hamburg, and Raymond Dixon, Plattsburg, N.Y. She is also survived by her grandson, Jamie Shive, with whom she lived in Cumbola, and seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, with Faith Renoll officiating. A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home. The family requests donations to North American Pet Pig Association, 15525 E. Via Del Palo, Gilbert, AZ 85298. Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, is in charge of arrangements.
