The Life of Kyle Douglas Hoch

Kyle Douglas Hoch, 29, of Kutztown, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018. Born in Reading, Kyle was a son of Tammy J. (Moyer) Crouthamel, Fayetteville, NC, and Wayne D. Hoch, Wilton, NY. Kyle was a 2007 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. As a child, Kyle was full of life. He could always be found in the swimming pool, or in the garage, working by his grandfather's side on cars. He was also a member of the Kutztown Dolphin Swim Team for several years. His love of cars and working on them never stopped, as he made it a career. He also had a love for music.

Kyle struggled with addiction as it was a constant battle. No one plans on becoming an addict or being an addict for that matter. Addiction does not discriminate, but as a Christian, Kyle was determined to fight and was dedicated to his recovery. Kyle would always reach out to anyone he knew that needed his help. His friendly personality and helpful ways will always be remembered by his family and friends.

In addition to his father, Wayne and mother, Tammy, Kyle is survived by his step-father, Sean M. Crouthamel, two daughters, Jocelyn Hoch, age 9, and Sophia Hoch, age 7; maternal grandmother, Ellen M. (Schultz) Moyer, Kutztown; paternal grandmother, Maryann Hoch, Red Hill; half-sister, Jessica Erkhert, Bally; step-sister, Ashley Crouthamel, Bethlehem; and step-brothers, Michael and Jonathan Crouthamel, both of Quakertown; nephew, Caiden; and nieces, Giana and Ava. Kyle was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, David G. Moyer, Sr., in 2014, who was like a father to him. He was his "Pop".

Services for Kyle will be held privately.

The family requests contributions be made in his memory to The Kyle D. Hoch Memorial Fund c/o Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., P.O. Box 292, Kutztown, PA 19530, to help defray final expenses. Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., Kutztown is in charge of arrangements. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.Ludwickfh.com.

I love you

Hi I'm Jocelyn his daughter I was actually 8 when he died not 9 but it was really sad cause my mom and him split up so I never really got to see him. It was October 4th or the 5th that we planned to have a picnic On the 6th he also gave me a coin that was special to him and so the 6th rolled along and it was around 1:30-2:00pm and I was praying that he was okay and I went to ask my mom if he texted back yet and she said "no I got a call... he's dead" and I was in disbelief and I said " your joking" and my mom said no and I started balling my eyes out for the next 2-3 day and it was so sad I loved him so much and I would do anything to see him one more time
