The Life of Garrett Edward Dalton

Ansonia--Mr. Garrett E. Dalton 78, entered into eternal rest on Monday, Sept. 24, at Yale New Haven Hospital from injuries of an auto accident on Sunday morning. He is the husband to Carol Chudoba Dalton. Born in Derby on April 11, 1940 son of the late Edward G. and Mary (Warsanick) Dalton. A communicant of the Church of the Assumption, Graduate of the Assumption School and the Ansonia High School class of 1959. A Veteran of the U. S. Army, retired from the Ansonia Board of Education, loved nature, Osbornedale State Park, fishing and boxing. But most of all he loved his grandchildren and great granddaughter. Survivors besides his wife are sons Garrett Anthony Dalton and wife Karen and children Ashley and Allison, Edward Garrett Dalton and wife Melissa and children Luke, Lily and Edward Daughter Leslie Mary Vidic and husband Keith and children Katherine and Nicholas and his daughter Audrey. Sisters Susan O'Donnell and husband Kenneth ,Christine Pelatowski and husband Lawrence and nieces and nephews. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 4-7 p.m. in the Bennett Funeral Home 91 N. Cliff St. Ansonia and on Thursday his funeral procession will leave at 9:30 a.m. to go to the Church of the Assumption for a mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial with Full Military Honors will take place on Friday Sept. 28 in Pine Grove Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers make donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital in care of the Funeral Home
