The Life of James D Salaki

James Dennis Salaki, 70, of Schuylkill Haven, PA, passed away Tuesday, August 21st, at Hershey Medical Center.

James was born on June 26, 1948, a son of the late Pearl (Woll) and Nicholas Salaki.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War.

He Retired from Barta Bus in Reading

Member of the Summit Station Fire Co. His hobbies included playing pinochle, gamble at the casino and drinking Old Milwaukee.

He was the husband of Christine (Mangine) Salaki.

James is survived by two daughters, Stacy Salaki, of Orwigsburg; Jamie Salaki, of Schuylkill Haven; a son, Jim, of MO; and by four sisters, Sandy Talley, of AZ; Joann Shupp, of Summit Station; Marry Ellen Phoronezny, of Pine Grove; Susan Jefferson, of NJ. four brothers, Nicholas, of Independance MO; Joseph, of Lancaster; Robert, of Williamsport; John, of Independence MO;

He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Paul James Frantz, and Avalon Marie Kimmel.

James is preceded in death by brothers Richard and William.

A Religious Service will take place at the Grabowski Funeral Home Inc. at 11AM on Saturday, August 25th, with Reverend Peggy Sue Pfeiffer officiating.

Friends may call Saturday from 9AM to 11AM at the Grabowski Funeral Home Inc.

Interment will follow in the Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

In lieu of flowers, family prefers donation to the VA Lebanon Cancer Center or the Summit Station Fire Co.

Grabowski Funeral Home Inc. Schuylkill Haven is in charge of arrangements.
