The Life of Ray H. Rohrbach

Ray H. Rohrbach, 73, of Longswamp Township, died Friday, July 20, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer.  He was the widower of Judy L. (Wink) Rohrbach, who died March 17, 2018.  Born in Longswamp  Township, he was a son of the late Wilson H. and Carrie E. (Hilbert) Rohrbach.  Ray was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Mertztown. Ray was a 1962 graduate of Brandywine Heights Area High School. He was employed over 38 years first, as a clerk, then as a rural carrier for the United States Postal Service, Mertztown. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golf. He was a member of both Mertztown and Alburtis Rod & Gun Clubs.

Survivors include children: Kimberly A. (Rohrbach) wife of Scott R. Milham, Bethlehem; Pamela S. (Rohrbach) Kemp, Alburtis; and Michael R., husband of Amy L. (Weller) Rohrbach, Mertztown.  Other survivors include her grandchildren, Courtney E. Milham, Andrew S. Milham, Tyler C. Kemp, and Maci J. Rohrbach; a sister, Shirley H. (Rohrbach) widow of Russell Solt, Mertztown; and a brother, Roy H., husband of Teresa (Ferry) Rohrbach), Mertztown.  In addition to his wife and parents, Ray was predeceased by a brother in infancy, Franklin D. Rohrbach.

A memorial service to celebrate Ray's life will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. from Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, 50 Luther Drive, Mertztown, with his pastor, The Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Sassaman, officiating. There will be a calling period from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the church.  Inurnment will be private the convenience of the family.

The family requests contributions be made in Ray's memory to Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, PO Box 117, Mertztown, PA 19539-0117.
