Dorothy Aidis "Dottie" Pride

Dorothy “Dottie” Aidis Pride went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 3, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell Malcolm Pride, Sr. and her granddaughter, Christina Lynn Jones. She was the devoted mother of Russ Pride, Jr. of Doylestown, PA, Cheryl (Al) Jones of Secane, PA, and Bob (Holly) Pride of Gap, PA. Her grandchildren include, Jonathan and Matthew Jones and Brittany Pride, as well as great-grandsons, Andrew, Jr. and Lucas Skovran.

In addition to her full-time roles as wife, mother and consummate homemaker, she also managed a professional career including the Pennsylvania Railroad, where she met her future husband, secretary to the Chief of Surgery at Presbyterian Medical Center and secretary with an OB group at Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Since moving to Doylestown in 2013, Dorothy enjoyed volunteer work with Care and Share in Souderton until her declining health precluded activities outside her home. A member of Aldan Union Church for more than 60 years, Dorothy more recently attended Doylestown Mennonite Church.

A memorial service commemorating Dorothy’s life will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2019 at Aldan Union Church, 7 East Providence Road, Aldan, PA where the family will welcome friends beginning 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Interment will be at the convenience of immediate family.
