John W. Meyer, 80, of West Chester, PA passed peacefully on July 17, 2018.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, John was the son of the late Norman H. and Juliet (nee Cairns) Meyer. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps.

John was the beloved husband of Janice L. (nee Gallen) Meyer; loving father of Robyn L. Stratton (John), Heather L. Lebano (Jon), David M. Meyer (Bethany) and John W. Meyer; stepchildren, John Elliott and Linda Strommer; grandfather of Erik Stratton, Andrew Stratton, Luke Stratton, Sophia Lebano, Trevor Meyer, Scott Stratton, Ian Lebano, Sammy Meyer, Olivia Lebano, Alex Meyer, Isabelle Lebano, and Chase Meyer; brother of Juliet Rossi (Robert Heuser), Norma Meyer (Robert Kephart), and James Meyer (Gienia).

John was a simple man who dearly loved his family. His work ethic was uncompromising. He was a lifelong Philadelphia sports enthusiast, who particularly enjoyed the Eagles' magical run to the 2018 Super Bowl. John was an avid reader, a lover of classic movies, horses and dogs, and an expert on all things Disney. He was a great listener, a teller of corny jokes, and a humble man. He will be greatly missed...
