The Life of Susan R. Salveson

SALVESON

Susan (nee Reighter), 74, of Bryn Mawr, PA, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018. She cared deeply about her family, her friends and her community. Susan was a world class mother, which she considered the most important role of her life. Her children each carry her empathy, her strong opinions, her intellect and her love of family. A gifted educator and career consultant, she retired several years ago and dedicated herself to art, crafting beautifully intricate books. She had a devoted group of friends who would do anything for her. She was a passionate lifelong learner and coped for 20 years with the ravages of rheumatoid arthritis in her life with dignity, grace and attitude. She is predeceased by her son, Andrew, and survived by her husband of 36 years, John; children: Christopher Holmes (Katie Holmes), Peter (Courtney), and Katherine (Mark Petry); four grandchildren: William, Quentin, Owen, and Colin; her sister, Nancy Strauss (Fred); her brothers-in-law Michael (Judy) Salveson and Tom (Jeannine) Salveson and 7 nieces and nephews. Visitation at 1:30 p.m., Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 18th, at Wayne Presbyterian, 125 E. Lancaster Ave., Wayne, PA 19087.
