The Life of Kenneth V. Hunter
Kenneth V. “Ken” Hunter, age 87, of Glen Mills, PA, left this world on June 2, 2018 to rejoin his bride of 46 years, Margaret May Hunter (nee Borton).
Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on February 23, 1931, he was the son of the late John and Agnes Hunter (nee Ritchie). In 1960, he moved to the U.S. and eventually became Director of Purchasing at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, retiring after 32 years.
During his youth in Brazil, Ken loved playing soccer, cricket, tennis and was an accomplished diver. In later years, Ken became an avid wood carver and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving children, Kenneth J. Hunter, Karen Hunter and Kay DeFilippo (John); his cherished grandchildren, Jordan and Laela DeFilippo; his beloved sister, M. Olive Holland, and treasured nieces and nephews.
Interment: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
