The Life of Arlan A Bressler



Arlan A. Bressler, 97, of Douglassville, passed away May 24th, at home.

Born in Auburn, he was the son of the late Norman & Mary (Moyer) Bressler.

He was the widower of Mildred A. (Killian) Bressler, who died July 28, 1990.

Before retiring in 1980, Mr. Bressler had been employed by the former Pennsylvania Railroad, Penn Central, and Conrail as trackman car repairman, welder, and car inspector.

As an Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Bressler received the Purple Heart when he was injured in the North African Campaign. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Surviving are his daughters; June M. Lloyd, of Pottstown, Helen A. Murray, & Kathryn A. Reppert, of Birdsboro. He is also survived by six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife Mildred, he is also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Klingaman, and all his brothers and sisters.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted Wednesday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, at 11 a.m.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Interment with military honors will immediately follow the service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
